Thor Place, Dublin
Thor Place is a prominent north inner city corner site in an area dominated by single storey artisan terraced dwellings. The site was an overlooked junction, a leftover plot formed by the convergence of two streets. There was an opportunity to repair an obvious break in the streetscape and to extend the adjoining rhythm of opes and building lines to their logical conclusion, giving this knuckle a strong presence in the area.
Behind the dark chocolate coloured walls and timber cladding, lies a modern complex home full of light and space. A secret possessed only by visitors and occupant.
