Tower Records, Dublin
7 Dawson Street, Dublin, Ireland. After 21 years on on Dublins Wicklow Street, Tower Records moved to a new venue on Dawson St in the former Waterstones building. In this new location, ODOS sought to both maintain and recreate the Tower identity throughout the interior architecture by questioning retail design conventions while simultaneously fulfilling the desires of their loyal customer base.
The design concept revolves around a single bold insertion at first floor level - the acoustic hood which connects the ground floor labyrinth with the first floor vinyl zone. Users make their way through a series of rooms, each offering a unique visual, acoustic and textural quality.
